THE STUDIO
A studio, not a service.
Midtones is a Raipur-based design studio founded by Supriya Sahu. We work on residential, commercial, retail and hospitality interiors — but the category is not what defines us. What defines us is a particular discipline of taste applied with care to every brief, regardless of its size.
We do not pretend to be a turnkey factory. We work on a small number of projects each quarter. That is the point.
WHO WE WORK WITH
For clients in Raipur, Durg, Bhilai, and across Chhattisgarh who have understood that a home or workspace shapes how they live and how they are seen. They are not looking for the cheapest quote. They are looking for the right voice — someone who can listen to what their space wants to become, and then make it so without compromise.
THE FOUR PILLARS
01
Quiet confidence.
We let the work speak. We do not shout, we do not chase trends. The brief tells us what the project needs — we listen first, design second.
02
Editorial taste.
Restraint over excess. A few right choices, not many loud ones. Materials that age well. Proportions that hold. Light that meets the room in the right place.
03
Clear process.
The client always knows what comes next, and why. No surprises in the schedule — the surprises stay in the design. Every stage has a deliverable, every meeting has an agenda.
04
Local craft.
We design with Chhattisgarh's makers, materials and light in mind. The state has a quiet but real craft tradition — we work with it, not around it. Some of our best details come from artisans within fifty kilometres of the studio.
THE FOUNDER
Supriya Sahu.
Founder and principal designer at Midtones, leading every project from first concept to final handover.
Trained in interior design with a focus on residential and boutique commercial spaces. Practices in Raipur, with projects across Chhattisgarh.
Influences span Kelly Wearstler's material confidence, Amber Lewis's restraint, and the everyday craft traditions of central India.
THE STUDIO
A small studio, deliberately. We work from Wallfort Woods, near Vidhansabha — a space we share with a few books, a long table, and material samples we keep returning to.
If you are nearby, the door is open. Most of the first conversations happen here.
If your project is one we should think about together, we'd be happy to hear about it.
